Healthy Curiosity
Does my idea match Reality?
The idea is provisional, always updating. Reality talks back and you listen. You stay curious because you're never quite finished.
Both channels open. You can provide for someone AND delight in who they actually are.
We can't fit Reality into an idea. It won't fit. Instead, we let Reality shape our ideas.
Leads to Narcissistic Behavior
Does Reality match my idea?
The idea is fixed. Reality is the variable. When Reality doesn't cooperate: Reality is wrong. You are wrong. The evidence is wrong. Anything but the idea.
Resonant channel seals. Only functional love remains. The doing continues, but for the idea of you, not you.
You keep showing up as yourself. They keep responding to someone else.

Resonant Love
Channel One · Love as Being-With · • ↔ •
Sees you without agenda. Delights in your existence. Asks, listens, attunes. Wants to know who you actually are. Active reception, not passivity.
This is the signal the aperture was built to recognize. When this channel seals, you are helped but never wanted. Provided for, but never seen.
You can't tune an FM radio by turning up the AM volume. Wrong channel.
"Do you want me here?"

Functional Love
Channel Two · Love as Doing · ○ ↔ ○
Pays rent. Makes dinner. Shows up when you're sick. Protects what's vulnerable. Provides, functions, accomplishes.
Real. Necessary. But when Reality has to fit the Idea, this is the only channel left open. The doing continues, but for the idea of you.
That's why the gifts miss. That's why after seven years, your middle name is still unknown.
"What can I do for you?"
Maps to ○ Boundary: the outer circle that holds, protects, contains
When provision flows through the boundary, you feel needed. When resonance flows between apertures, you feel wanted.
These are not the same channel. Neither can substitute for the other. Both are required for wholeness ⊙
Goals as Load-Bearing Proof
The goal isn't pursued for joy. It's load-bearing. It holds the idea of self in place.
Hit the goal: the picture holds. Miss it: the whole self risks collapse.
The construction never stops because the thing being built isn't a life, it's a proof.

Aperture: "I know who you really are." You stop trusting yourself.
Stratigraphy of Belief
Lies install at different depths. A deep lie corrupts everything above it, and the corruption is self-concealing.

The Cure: Curiosity
The false idea doesn't get killed. It gets outlived.
The cure isn't confrontation. It's curiosity, and it can only come from within: who am I, really?
Curiosity cannot be performed and cannot be forced.

The dizziness is data. Your system is correctly detecting no genuine two-way field. Reboot. Trust the signal.
We can't put Reality into an idea. It won't fit.
Instead, we shall let Reality shape our ideas.
The aperture receives. The boundary holds. The field relates.
You can't love someone out of that architecture. But you can stop contorting yourself to fit an idea that was never actually you.
