The Circumpunct Framework

The Circumpunct Octave

four structures · four operators · two poles  |  eight rungs = one octave (do → do′)
Pole · greater whole · one by inclusion
The undifferentiated ground
undifferentiated energy; E = 1 pure potential, part of nothing further. (“energy, E=1” is metaphor, not measured Joules.)
0DdoStructure
point, singularity, soul, localization · one by indivisibility
1DmiStructure
line, string, timeline, extension extension: line, timeline. (“string” dropped: borrowed from string theory.)
2DsoStructure
boundary, body, surface, interface
Φ
3DtiStructure
field, mind, interior volume, mediation interior volume, mind, mediation. (“field” dropped: borrowed from field theory.)
Pole · the whole · one by integration
Centered wholeness
consciousness, being, experience: the octave closed, the dot seated in its circle.

The operator engine · 4th roots of 1

Re +1 Re −1 Im +i Im −i +i −i −1 +1
Tap an operator (left) or a root (above).
The four processes are the fourth roots of unity. Imaginary axis = in/out (convergence & emergence, conjugates). Real axis = split/return (branching & recursion). Moving two rungs multiplies by i² = −1: every operator’s antipode is its own negation.

Read the ladder two ways

Legend

Structures (integers) are dimensions: 0D, 1D, 2D, 3D.
Operators (halves) are not dimensions: they act between or within structures.
Why the halves are not “dimensions.” Only 1.5 earns a measured fraction (a coastline’s Hausdorff dimension, ~1.25). For 0.5, 2.5, 3.5 the half is ordinal (it sits between structure n and n+1), not metric. One word was doing two jobs.
The convergence wrinkle. Convergence is many-to-one, inward: it builds the point. So its meaning fits the ∞ → 0D gap, not the 0D → 1D slot it occupies. Either a half-rung is missing above 0D, or it is mislabeled. Flagged, left in place.
Still owed. The vertical gap from 0D to asserts that the center is not the greater whole. That inequality is exactly what non-dualism denies. The ladder draws the debt; it does not yet pay it.
